My entrepreneurial activity started in 1972. At the age of 20, upon returning from the mandatory military service, I founded my first company in the name of G.M.F. Snc which then soon translated into M.F.E. Srl. These were my first steps taken as an entrepreneur in the field of radio communications and amateur radio, together with the electronics of the microprocessors that was being born in that period. I became a radio amateur with a ministerial license and ID Code: IK2-ATN. I was joining the Civil Protection. I supplied radio systems and radio repeaters to various government agencies and private entities. That business developed with the foundation of a new company. General Radio Srl General Radio imported and distributed HF, VHF and UHF radio equipment as well as radio links, antennas and radio networks of various types. We supplied Governmental departments, Comunità Montana, Private Security Institutions, private companies and... radio amateurs. The amateur radio market has always been very popular and appreciated by myself, importing Drake equipment from the USA and Kenwood radio equipment from Japan and distributing them on the national territory.
In 1987, alongside General Radio Srl, I founded the company KFT Engineering Snc. This company was born as a research and development company in electronics. We took the first steps by collaborating with Italtel (at the magical time of the CEO Mrs Belisario ..), Alcatel, and many other Italian companies that have allowed us to grow and gain experience.
In September 1989, sitting in the office of a very dear friend, an amateur builder of sailing boats, I saw for the first time the advertisement of a recent, not yet completed, American satellite radio-localization system in the name of Global Positioning System (GPS). The advertisement was from a small American company named Magellan located in S. Dimas (California) who was developing the world first GPS receiver. In November of the same year I was with them in California and I met their designer Mike Brower. The result was a co-operation that led KFT to create the first satellite radio-localization system for vehicles in the world: it was the end of 1990.
KFT then became an Srl and then again a Spa. As I said, KFT had an R&D spirit and therefore in 1997 I founded GuardOne as a trading and service company making use of KFT technologies. GuardOne developed as a holding company that held daughter companies in Italy, Brazil, Peru, Denmark, Poland, Russia.
GuardOne then changed its name to the less market restrictive G-One Srl. Today I am the Sole Administrator of G-One Srl and we operate in different market sectors and different countries.
